| Other Terms Security Deposit Insurance For a daily cost, North South will waive the normal $3,500 security deposit required to rent a boat. This insurance has a $500 deductible that is covered by a cash deposit or credit card imprint taken by our BVI office. Instead of being liable for the first $3,500 of damage done to the yacht or it's equipment, the client is only responsible for the first $500. The client no longer has to deposit with North South the $3,500 deposit. This also covers the dinghy and motor. However there are situations that are not covered by this insurance. Damage caused by an unauthorized operator, deliberate or willful damage, damage done while sailing between sunset and sunrise, damage to personal belongings, damage done while operating the vessel with more than the safe number of people aboard, damage caused while operating the vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs and damage caused while the vessel is being used for illegal purposes. Dinghy coverage is no longer valid when outside the British Virgin Islands waters. Cancellation Terms: Up to 46 days prior to departure we charge a $200 cancellation fee to cover administrative costs for cancellations for any reason. Less then 45 days prior to departure the client forfeits 100% of the holiday cost. Your agent will be happy to recommend an insurance policy to protect you from a loss due to cancellation for specified reasons. Individual insurance is also available for crew members who wish to take it. Normally this insurance is available at the time of booking or under special circumstances, within a reasonable time of that booking. All cancellations must be received in writing. Should a cancelling customer, after full payment has been received, be able to find a substitute a full refund less a $200 administrative fee will be made. All prices are correct at the time of posting but are subject to change without notice. Cancellation Insurance: Skipper Insurance Skipper cancellation insurance is available at the time of booking and confirming your charter. For a small fee, the skipper can insure all boat fees paid to North South when the skipper has to cancel due to illness or injury to himself, his partner or any member of his immediate family. This insurance does not cover changes in business plans that affect his ability to travel. The cost is based on the value of the trip. Crew Insurance Crew members may purchase insurance that will cover their share of the cost of the boat. This insurance covers the same items as reviewed above and covers the traveling partner as well. The cost is based on the amount of coverage required not to exceed the crew members share of the cost of the boat. Travel Insurance: This is not available from North South.
